That’s what’s good about that Mad Men fashion trend that is currently sweeping in the States but still has a different interpretation in the Old Continent (see Dolce and Gabbana for references). Looking ‘preppy’ as the Americans put it means looking well dressed even if your clothes cost just a few tens of euros and you bought them all at H&M (popular Greek films of the 50s are also a good reference). This means that even in your hour of need (or want for that matter) you are able to maintain an air and aura of dignity and composure that gives the impression that you can cope, after all. Sad though it may be for some, clothes do make the man. Frustrating as it may be for some more, clothes definitely make the woman.
